Carlos Condit enjoying villain status
The reigning interim Ultimate Fighting Championship or the UFC Welterweight champion Carlos Condit has admitted that he is enjoying being seen as a villain as he gears up for his UFC Welterweight Championship fight against the champion Georges St. Pierre at UFC 154 on the 17th of November and adds that he has lived this moment many times in the past. When he steps inside the UFC Octagon at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada to take on the home town favorite, he knows he will have a huge fight on his hands as he not only faces Rush inside the ring, a legend of the sport, but also thousands of fans cheering for him outside the ring.
When one knows Carlos Condit personally, there is not much to hate about him – he is a loving husband, a doting father who has been chasing his dream of becoming a legend of Mixed Martial Arts ever since he was legally old to drive a car but for the fans of GSP, just the fact that he will be vying to take away the UFC Welterweight Championship from their home town hero, a title that he has held since 2008 would be enough to jeer for the native from New Mexico.
Condit is the public enemy number one in Canada this week and that is a role he has embraced as well as thrived in several times before. He stated that one of the best memories he has had of his career is how he silenced the crowd at the O2 Arena in London when he beat Dan Hardy.
But even Carlos Condit knows that he won’t have it easy against Georges St. Pierre and he will have to give his best to stand a chance and he is ready for that.
