CONDIT CONFIDENT OF SUCCESS

Monday, February 6th, 2012

Although we’re almost 10 days away from UFC 143 and the interim World Welterweight Championship match between Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit, the stage has been set for one of the biggest matchups in recent history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship to break all the records and make it a spectacle. This will be the first time that Condit will enter the Octagon since he decimated Dong Hyun Kim in July last year and according to the Natural Born Killer, he is eagerly anticipating the match and is looking forward to claiming the title.

In a recent interview, Condit made it clear that there was no love lost between him and Diaz, who many pundits and media personalities believe to be the best and pure fighter in the division after Georges St Pierre and all Condit is focused on at the moment is claiming the championship belt. Although he had never met his opponent before, Carlos Condit believes that Diaz has a severe attitude problem and he should be grateful for the position that he is in at the moment, for being in the ring and getting paid to do what he loves.

Condit has kept himself fit in these interim months, where he has seen opportunities appear and pass him by at regular intervals and he is also open about the possibility about the bout going into five rounds, which will happen for the first time in his career. Condit admits that he had been training long and hard considering the possibility of the match going into five rounds and he also added that even when fighting three rounds, he always felt that he had a round or two left in him.

Whatever happens, the rivalry between two of the biggest names in the Welterweight division, Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz are bound to give the audience a spectacle and once in a lifetime experience.

Focus on: Carlos Condit

Monday, December 19th, 2011

Carlos Condit better known as the Natural Born killer is an American mixed martial artist. He managed to run in to international fame in the boxing circuit when he went on to the final of the WEC Welter weight Championship. He might not be on the top as of now, but his consistent performance is sure to keep him in the top ten positions for the various welter weight trophies. His current ranking according to Sher dog is 6.

Starting his career with a cage fighting match against Kyle Jensen, whom he defeated, he managed to excel in the early days of his career. Carlos has improved in his skills and tactics and has instilled a sense of fear among his other opponents. Recently, one of the most raging reviews was for the match against St. Pierre. It was said that St. Pierre would be facing one of the most toughest and difficult competitors during his entire professional. Everyone had been rooting for the success of Carlos Condit as usual due to his excellent reviews and current successes.

The MMA Hour has also managed to sign up Carlos Condit for their show as a guest. Carlos is going to talk about his recent UFC 143 fight against Nick Diaz. Condit, in an interview had even said earlier that he finds Diaz to be a much better competitor than St. Pierre. The reason for such a hyped prelude to this match is because the match of Diaz has been rescheduled twice earlier and finally it stays fixed with Nick Diaz, the 3rd position champ of the welterweight fighting Carlos Condit, the 5th position champ of the welterweight tournament.

Carlos has always managed to raise the standards of the game as well as the audience rating and has been a star when it comes to fighting.

CONDIT LOOKED OVER

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

Carlos Condit was promised a title shot in the Welterweight category against Georges St Pierre by the boss of UFC Dana White, but just before the fight was due to be announced the fight was pulled, with Nick Diaz instead getting the title-shot, and Carlos Condit forced to wait in the wings.

Having worked so hard for so many years, Carlos was naturally disappointed not to get his well-deserved title fight, and was bemused (to say the least) when Dana White claimed that he had stepped aside gracefully – he was never given the option!

His agent released the statement below.  Hopefully he’ll get a shot at Goerges St Pierre before too long!

“We are obviously disappointed in the UFC’s decision to cancel its commitment with Carlos Condit to give another fighter an opportunity at the Welterweight Title based on emotional reactions from UFC 137. Contrary to what has been stated, Carlos did not step aside to allow this to happen, and would not just hand over an opportunity for him to achieve his greatest career goal, one that he has earned through his strong performances in the Octagon. No option was given to him.

For the second time in less than two weeks, Carlos has had an opportunity swept out from beneath his feet. He has shown nothing but pure class in his drive to the title, and will continue to do so.”

Condit Ready for Title Fight

Friday, September 16th, 2011

It wasn’t the way we expected it either – Carlos Condit was scheduled to face BJ Penn – but it looks like our hero will finally get his chance to fight for the title against Georges St Pierre, after his opponent (Nick Diaz) decided not to turn up to the press briefings?!

Diaz was immediatley removed, and Condit was moved up into the headline match of the night – Carlos Condit vs George St Pierre for the Welterweight title!

It was all a bit of a shock for Carlos too – he had to jump on a plane immediatley to make the Press conference himself!  “Yeah well I heard the news and pretty much jumped on an airplane an hour or two later to go to Vegas and get the P.R. thing going. That went for about 24 hours or more. I finally got home last night and after I had a chance to train today I had a really good day to digest everything. I feel good about it and I’m excited.”

“George is an incredible fighter. He’s dynamic, he’s got some really, really good striking that he hasn’t shown a whole lot of lately, it’s mostly been jabs and that kind of thing. His wrestling has been awesome. I don’t need to tell you guys that, everyone knows that. He’s an incredibly well-rounded fighter, he’s an incredible athlete, and he’s gonna be a very tough puzzle to solve.
