It was a few months back that the Ultimate Fighting Championship or the UFC announced that Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit, two of the most exciting Welterweight fighters in the world would fight it to see who becomes the UFC Interim World Welterweight Champion and as soon the news of this announcement broke, everyone who takes interest in MMA anticipated a battle, not a bout between the two that would easily make it way into the Classics of the UFC archive.

But what they got instead was a methodical and calculated approach from Condit and this approach from The Natural Born Killer came as a surprise to Diaz as well, who made no attempts at pinning his opponent during the entire match, finally resulting in a unanimous decision for Condit, which has since been hoarding all sorts of controversies. And finally, the man himself, Carlos Condit has come out and spoken about the match, stating that although the match and his performance did not leave many people happy, he was satisfied with his own performance and the end result.

Speaking to the website of the promotion, Wallin MMA, Condit added that it might not have been the all-out war between him and Diaz that was expected by most people, it still was entertaining, further adding that the fight proved to him that he could make a plan and stick to it, no matter what the circumstance are. He also added that previously, he went into a fight with a strategy but the moment the first few punches were thrown, he would abandon it.

This bout also showed that he had grown and matured as a fighter, something which he is very proud of, said Carlos Condit. In the end, maybe he is happy with the result, but there are many fans who would love seeing him skinned in his next match.
