Mayweather vs McGregor – Money and the Numbers

The biggest money making fight in the history of both boxing and UFC is due to take place on August 26th in the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Floyd Money Mayweather will face up against Conor Notorious McGregor, both fighters devastating in their own rights and will walk away with the biggest pay checks ever.

Mayweather, being the headliner of the event will take away $100m and McGregor will pick up $75m, not bad for a night work. Mayweather has always been flamboyant about his earning and has a very lavish lifestyle, Conor McGregor is slowly climbing the numbers game, picking up $3m in his last fight.

Both fighters love their cars and accessories, spending ridiculous amounts on lavish gifts. Mayweather has a single bank account with $123 million in it. He’s obsessed with cash. He travels with Ziploc bags of hundreds and is known for his crazy shopping sprees. He has two fleets of luxury cars (including a $290,000 Bentley). All his cars at his Miami house are white, and the cars at his Vegas house are black. McGregor’s personal tailor, who said that the Irishman spends between $4,000 and $10,000 on each suit and routinely orders 8 to 10 before every media tour. McGregor is, according to Forbes, worth $22 million. Also, when he’s not wearing a bespoke suit, McGregor dresses like this, which probably saves him a ton of money. When it comes to these two fighters, money talks a lot. Yet, the smart money seems to go to Mayweather in the Mayweather vs McGregor betting odds.
