Carlos Condit ready to return
Tuesday, March 17th, 2015It has been almost a year since former interim Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC Welterweight champion Carlos Condit stepped inside the UFC Octagon. And not only did he lose his match to Tyron Woodley in devastating fashion via knockout, the end result was not really too pretty for him s well as he suffered a torn meniscus and ACL that put him on the shelf indefinitely.
Moreover, the loss meant that his record in his last four fights was down to 1-3 and now, the Natural Born Killer is ready to make his return to the Octagon and start making up for lost time. According to reports, Condit could face Thiago Alves in a match scheduled for the end of May or early in June with both the fighters as well as UFC officials agreeing on making the match happen.
Carlos Condit, who has a professional record of 29-8, has hit a very difficult patch of form ever since he defeated Nick Diaz to win the interim championship belt. But he did manage to secure a win against Martin Kampmann in between, avenging the loss on his debut fight in the UFC in 2009. (more…)
